Traveller’s Attractions and Things to Do in Bhutan

Some of such sites are Taktsang Monastery, Trongsa Dzong, Punakha Dzong, Tashicho Dzong, Gangteng Monastery, Kyerchu Temple, Druk Wangyal Lhakhang etc.

The whole world is amazed to see how nicely Bhutan has established itself as a country with zero-carbon in the environment and as an inspiration to maintain Gross National Happiness when the whole world is chasing the concept of Gross Domestic Productivity. While you enter the spiritually and traditionally developed country this attitude towards happiness is felt.

Bird Watching

White-capped Water Redstart, Nuthatch, White-naped Yuhina, Rufous-necked Hornbill, Yellow-vented Warbler, Chestnut-breasted Partridge, and blue Whistling-Thrush –these are some endangered birds found in Bhutan. There are over 600 varieties of birds which can be seen in alpine or agricultural land, wetland, forest or human area, scrub etc.

Grand Festivals

Bhutan no doubt celebrates lots of festivals with a grand way and various rituals. The festivals take place in different locations in a colourful way. Jomolhari Mountain Festival, Nomad Festival, Pema Gatshel Tshechu, Takin Festival, Gomphukora, Talo Tshechu, Domkhar Tshechu etc are some of the popular festivals of Bhutan.

This country contains varied landforms like rivers, valleys, jungles, hills, mountains etc. with uneven paths, ascending and descending through the land of Bhutan.
